Everything you need to know about your session
How many weeks pregnant do I need to be at my maternity shoot?
Maternity sessions are usually scheduled between 34 – 37 weeks, when your bump is prominent but you are still reasonably comfortable.
Where will my maternity shoot take place?
Your maternity photos can be taken either at your home or at a location of your choice.
I love discovering new locations if you have a particular place in mind. However if you are unsure of where you would like to have your session, I can also recommend a selection of beautiful locations around the Dandenong Ranges or the coastal region where I regularly work.
Contact me here if you need assistance finding the perfect location for your shoot.
What should I wear in my maternity shoot?
It is best to keep your outfit simple, and to make sure you are as comfortable as possible in it. If it makes you feel good while showing off your bump, then you will be a lot more relaxed and confident on the day.
However as a bonus I will send you my complete ‘outfit inspiration guide’ once your session is all booked in, which will provide tips and inspiration when choosing the perfect outfit for your maternity shoot.
What happens if it rains on the day of my session?
Dark clouds and even light rain can make for an incredibly beautiful backdrop.
They provide contrast and bring a heightened sense of emotion to your images, therefore most shoots are able to go ahead even with threatening weather.
However, if it is pouring with rain, then we can either move the shoot to your home, or we can reschedule for a more convenient time when there is favourable weather.
How do I book my session with you?
Get in touch with me via the contact page and we can schedule a date in for your session.
Once your deposit has been paid and your contract has been filled out and returned back to me, your session will be confirmed and booked in.
